Besides, if you do not have a naturally golden skin tone, you would want to avoid looking like a Malibu Barbie version of Morticia Adams. Also, if you are still sporting tan lines from wearing a much more modest swimwear, you should even out your skin tone first to make the paler triangles on your chest and crotch areas less visible.

Pay the spa a visit and do get a bikini wax. While you are there, make sure that you get a full body scrub. There should be no need to explain why you need the bikini wax, but make sure that you do not get it just a day before wearing your beachwear. A bikini wax, especially for women with very sensitive skin, may cause the area to redden, which usually takes two to three days to fade. Body scrubs exfoliate and smoothen your skin. Even the best-shaped booties would not look as good if they have zits peeking out of the thongs.
